Product Description

The Dragonfly Pulse Surface Cleaner is a floating automatic pool cleaner that removes dirt, dust, pollen, insects,

leaves and other nasties, from the surface of your pool. Unlike conventional cleaners, the Dragonfly greatly assists in stopping the pool from getting dirty in the first place.

How does it do it?  The Dragonfly's unique 'Dual Action' ability allows it to take nasties from the
surface and the top 150mm of contaminated water simultaneously...

By removing nasties from both the surface and the top 150mm of contaminated water, the Dragonfly increases the odds that nothing will reach the bottom of your pool.  The 'Side Valve' removes the top layer of contaminated water by sucking in harmful bacteria and micro-organisms and sending them directly to the sanitization system to be destroyed.  While the 'Top Triple Weir' gobbles up leaves, dust, pollen, seeds and insects that have settled on the surface.

Floating debris is drawn to the Dragonfly and is carried through the vacuum hose to the existing pool skimmer box, leaf basket or an optional inline high volume leaf canister. There is no need to wait for contaminants to sink to the bottom before removing them.

Simply connect to your vacuum plate using the pool hose. The Dragonfly may also be used in conjunction with other automatic pool cleaners, if desired. All you need to do is switch to your conventional floor cleaner's head.

The Dragonfly can be adjusted to suit varying flow rates and water densities for fresh and salt water pools. A patented
automatic  valve compensates for varying water flow rates, ensuring that the Dragonfly does not draw in air.

It's Healthier...

The Dragonfly Pulse Surface Cleaner - The Only Automatic Pool Cleaner that removes disease carrying materials...

The Dragonfly Pulse Surface Cleaner reduces the risks that bacteria poses to swimmers by reducing the amount of

bacteria breeding in the swimming pool.  The Dragonfly floats at the surface of the water where the disinfectant that

the pool uses is at its weakest. The top 150 mm is the area where body fats, skin particles, suntan oils, and ecoli that carry pathogens such as bacteria and parasites from one bather to another thrive. This is because the water in this

area is warmest and therefore the most comfortable for the organisms that are prone to attack humans.

Conventional swimming pool cleaners can only clean what has sunk to the bottom of the pool...

This can take as long as a week and the most dangerous contaminants never sink staying at the surface of the water

where they may be swallowed or become the cause of things like ear infections.

The Dragonfly Pulse Surface Cleaner takes water from this high risk area of the pool directly to the filter...

From there the water is redistributed into the lower cooler regions of the pool where the pools disinfectant action is

strongest. This results in a far more effective disinfection regime that in turn markedly improves swimming pool hygiene.

It Saves You Money...

The Dragonfly Pulse Surface Cleaner reduces the amount of bio-material in the water, this means that you need to put less chlorine in the swimming pool to have the required amount of free chlorine to effectively disinfect the pool leading

to a reduction in chlorine costs.

It Saves You Energy...

We all know that the swimming pool filter needs to be run for a minimum amount of time in order to have the water

circulate enough for effective filtration. With salt water pools this is particularly critical because the chlorine is formed

during the filtration cycle and even if the water looks great the filters have to be left running in order to get the required

free chlorine readings in the water.

By stopping dirt from sinking into the water in the first place and sending it directly to filtration the water stays cleaner

so the filtration time can be reduced. In the case of salt water pools the same applies, the reduction in suspended contaminants in the water frees chlorine more quickly meaning that less filtration time is required.

It Saves You Water...

The Dragonfly Pulse Surface Cleaner is able to help save water by taking advantage of rain...

When the pool over fills as the result of a rainy period the skimming action of the pool's static skimmer is stopped.

The only way to get it working properly is to let some of the water go until it starts to skim again. With the Dragonfly this

is of course not a problem as it will float with the water level always maintaining maximum skimming action. Conversely

in times of drought, water may drop well below the operating level of the existing static skimmer. It is possible to have

a Dragonfly effectively keeping the water clean and healthy until there is very little water left in the pool.  This feature will also greatly assist in stopping your pool pump from running dry and causing potential damage.

It's Tougher...

Conventional automatic pool cleaners are easily blocked up by a few too many leaves and seed pods...

The Dragonfly Pulse Surface Cleaner does not stop working even when it’s swamped, e.g. after strong winds in a leafy area the Dragonfly will continue to clean away fine particles from the water

The Answers:

I already own an automatic pool cleaner, why should I get a Dragonfly Pulse Surface Cleaner?

Because the automatic pool cleaner that you are using at present is only a vacuum, i.e., it only cleans the bottom of your swimming pool. Granted, they certainly make the pool look cleaner and we ourselves see these bottom pool cleaners as great secondary pool cleaning tools. However, they do nothing to clean the water until dirt has passed through all the

water and has settled on the bottom.

Conventional automatic pool cleaners significantly reduce or entirely stop the skimming action of the pool's filtration

system which is the first line of defence against pool contamination. This in turn, increases the risks associated with communicable infections or diseases.

The Dragonfly Pulse Surface Cleaner takes materials directly to the filter without them having to percolate through the

water to the bottom before they are removed.

My swimming pool vacuum gets blocked up and the leaf basket is full every day.

How can the Dragonfly help me?

A Dragonfly Pulse Surface Cleaner, especially when it is set up to work at the same time as a bottom pool cleaner, can

have an inline leaf canister installed anywhere along the hose. By doing this a larger amount of leaves or other debris

can be trapped before they get to the leaf basket, leaving the bottom pool cleaner to mop up less debris.

You will find that the bottom pool cleaner will no longer choke up and the much larger leaf canister will have to be

emptied far less often.

In what ways does the Dragonfly reduce the risks that bacteria poses to swimmers?

The Dragonfly concentrates on the top of the water where the disinfectant that the pool uses is the weakest. The top is

the area where body fats, skin particles, suntan oils, and other little nasties that carry bacteria from one bather to

another thrive, because the water is at its warmest. Sunlight and environmental pollutants reduce the biocidal

effectiveness of the pools disinfection system, while bathers activities add to the potential risk.

The Dragonfly takes this water directly to the filter, from where it is redistributed into the lower cooler regions of the pool where the pool's disinfectant action is strongest.

How long should I run my filter when using the Dragonfly?

This differs from pool to pool depending on the number of trees and plants nearby, the amount of dust in the air, industrial pollution, etc. Regardless of where you live and your conditions, the filtering time required to keep the water in the pool clean will be reduced.

Does the Dragonfly work in above ground pools?

Yes, it is the best above ground pool cleaner available as it is never in contact with the liner. This can lead to wear and damage with other automatic pool cleaners.

From Our Satisfied Customers:

Finally a solution that actually works...

"    I recently purchased from your company a Dragonfly Pulse Surface Cleaner . I initially was a little sceptical to

purchase this unit as my pool would be considered a nuisance pool - it is in close approximation of trees such as

Jacarandas, Gum trees and a large Walnut tree.

My reasons for my scepticism is as follows, I have tried a number of different options in the past 5 years to keep

my pool clean with little to no success. The cost to my family to this date is in the many thousands.

I have now disconnected my floor cleaner as the Dragonfly Pulse Surface Cleaner is working so effectively, it is

skimming all the debris from the surface before it has a chance to sink to the bottom.

A simple but ingenious idea, well done.     "

Water evaporation is no longer a problem...

"     Just thought I'd update you on how pleased I am with your Dragonfly Pulse Surface Cleaner.

My family and I enjoy mini-vacations camping, house-boating or whatever. They usually last 4 or 5 days.

The Dragonfly has been a godsend because now we don't have to worry about the pool's water level going down

because of evaporation. We live in Orlando, Florida where hot weather is the norm and pool water evaporation is a

big problem because a fixed skimmer will be sucking air in only two days or so. We used to call our neighbours and

beg them to check our pool and fill it with a garden hose. They really loved our phone calls and it cost me big bucks

in paybacks! Now they miss the calls because the free beer has stopped - I no longer need their help. With the

Dragonfly Pulse Surface Cleaner we can be gone longer then our money or free time lasts and my neighbour has

been sober for over two years now!

Once again thanks for the great product! A fixed skimmer is a real problem as you well know and the price of beer

      is rising!    "

You can see it works...

"     I got the Dragonfly working and it went really well. It settled in front of the pool skimmer box where there is the

main stream of water flow and it was amazing to see the floating debris being sucked in.

It is also amazing how dust is collected as it is not visible in the water but it was evident on the filter sock.   "

What a brilliant innovative product!

"    I bought a Dragonfly and I would like to praise its innovation. I have only been using it for a month or so, but it does all that you state and more. We had an extreme water mold problem the last two years, the worst outbreaks and total clouding of the water occurring this time of year when the water is the warmest. You could see the "oily" splotches floating on the surface of the water. You could not skim these splotches with a net, they'd go right through. These would eventually unite and form long, unsightly strings of water mold. Once the water mold took off, the algae cloud would not be far behind. Since your skimmer does what it should do, there are no oily splotches to form the water mold. Our pool is still crystal clear and beautiful. The skimmer also serves as a good reminder as to when to backwash the filter. If it isn't bobbing in the pool, it's telling you to backwash, it's sucked enough dirt into the filter and you'd better do something. Thank you for your product. It is exactly what I needed!   "
