Spill Sponge absorbs oil based liquids and most chemicals, while repelling water. Spill Sponge encapsulates and prevents leaching of contaminated liquids up to saturation point. SpillSponge passes E.P.A. Paint Filter/TCLP Testing. Spill Sponge absorbs up to 8 times more liquid than “Clay” type products.   SOIL CONTAMINATION USAGE INSTRUCTIONS TEST FOR TPH LEVEL Till and open the contaimated soil with a shovel and rake. Mix SpillSponge powder into the contaimated soil, add approx 30% water. Till contaimated soil throughtly until it looks like a slurry. Continue to till the contaimated soil keeping  up the water supply over a five day period. Test for TPH Levels after a week of treatment.
